The information you need before you go shopping for a replacement motor and where to find it

The label on your motor will contain the important information required to shop for, when looking or calling for a replacement motor.
You need to know "what type" of motor you need (in ground pool or above ground pool * Jacuzzi/hot tub * well pump or irrigation pump ect....
1. Horse power, on the label HP
2. Voltage, on the label VOLTS and if its switchable from one voltage to another there will be more than one value Example: VOLTS 115/230 means it can
be used on either voltage and there is one of a few ways to switch the voltage on the motor.
4. Phase, on the label PH followed by a 1 or a 3 (PH 1 single phase power/PH 3 three phase power.
5. Motor speed, on the label RPM and like the voltage if there are two values it is a 2 speed motor example RPM 3450/1725 mans it is a 2 speed motor
Along with the above mentioned information you need to know when looking for a replacement motor, you will also need to know what flange type you have or face plate depending on your need.
